We didn't have a typical wedding; we got married in the back of an antique doll store. The woman who owned the store was also a Justice of the Peace. It was just hubby, myself, and the JP. I guess you could say we had one guest (although, it was an uninvited guest). Right in the middle of the "ceremony" some guy started banging on the front door of the store. Apparently he could see us in there and even though the store wasn't scheduled to open for another 1/2 hour, he felt he should be let in. He banged on that door for quite a while! He must have really needed his dolly. We didn't care; it just added a little something to our wedding story. We eloped - didn't tell ANYone until afterward. It was the best way to get married. The only downside - the gifts or lack thereof ;-) Serously, it was so nice. Our married life has had its ups and downs just like everyone's, way more ups than downs and I can honestly say that he was my best friend then and he's my best friend now. I'd marry him again in a heartbeat! Okay, enough mushy.
Knitting news:
I finished the first of the Raindrop lace socks on Saturday morning:
The yarn is Regia Silk; soft, soft, soft. I really like the way the lace pattern looks with this coloway. I deviated from my usual way of knitting lace socks in that I carried the lace pattern all the way down the instep to the toe. I ususally only do the lace on the leg and do plain stockinette on the foot. This is an incredibly easy lace pattern - only a 4 row repeat which is easily memorized.
Haven't yet cast on for the second sock because Saturday was the start of :
I started a scarf for the Red Scarf Project as soon as I finished the sock. I'm using Cascade 220. The pattern is mistake rib over 27 stitches using size 10 1/2 needles. I worked on it for a couple hours on Saturday and brought it to work with me at the gym yesterday. By early last night, this is what I had done:

It's about 3/4 done; the only reason it isn't finished is because I am L.A.Z.Y. I didn't feel like walking up the stairs to the room with my swift and ball winder to wind the second skien of yarn. I had some maroon and some charcoal grey Lion Brand Thick and Quick Woolease downstairs, so I cast on for another scarf. Man, this yarn knits up fast! I'm using size 15 baseball bats, I mean knitting needles, and just doing plain old garter stitch. Here's what I completed in about an hour last night:

I worked on it for about 1/2 hour this morning, so it's a bit longer now. The plan is to knit with the charcoal grey until I get to the other end, where I'll duplicate this side. This yarn not only knits up really fast, but it is very soft and I actually really like the look of the garter stitch in such thick yarn. This will be put aside for now and tonight I'll wind the second skien of Cascade 220 and finish the Mistake Rib scarf. Hopefully, I'll have a little time to start the second sock and do a couple repeats of the lace pattern too.
That's all I've got for today - have a great one :)

Happy Anniversary!!!!
Oh, both scarves are really cute! And, I like the patterns. Garter stitch does look good when it is on big needles...
Those socks are beautiful!!1
